Mayor de Blasio continues to say “Let them eat cake” to anti-helicopter activists

Kyle Kimball, heads up the EDC for New York City

To no one’s surprise, Mayor de Blasio is still not going to shut down the tourist helicopters taking off from the Seaport. He met last week, again, with the coalition opposing the noisy helicopters, and nothing resulted.

The reason Mayor de Blasio is ignoring the people and their elected officials is that he still has the Billionaire Bloomberg’s appointed head of the EDC, Kyle Kimball, working for him. Bloomberg created the helicopter mess and Kyle Kimball was his soldier in this battle. Until Kyle Kimball goes, nothing will change with the helicopters.

The extremely ineffective feckless helicopter opponents who call themselves “Stop the Chop” are too timid to point out that Kyle Kimball is the problem. As a result, they are getting nowhere.

    Tour helicopter noise

Thanks for covering this issue with recent updates.
Its one of the worst developments I’ve experienced on the upper west side.
The noise carries well into Central Park. Its non-stop.

    Keep up the good work,

    Gordon Voisey
